Hand with Rose
We’re obsessed with this Hand with Rose. The hand-painted miniature mixed-media construction is the perfect balance of techno-romantic and swamp pop.
Size: 2”W x 3.75”H
Materials: Acrylic, acrylic resin, nickel, silver.
Technique: Pierced, acid-etched nickel, paint, riveted.
About the image:
“The hand almost certainly comes from my Catholic upbringing. Jesus, or any of the saints and angels, in the hierarchy of the pantheon, are holding hands up to convey meaning, like peace, direction, desire, guilt. That hand image I use is mostly of a hand with fingers facing up, palm forward.” FXP
